どうしても
それしかできないのだから
当然のことながら，詩を翻訳するのは難しかった．ただ，原文の英語を見てみるとわかるように極めて簡潔でわかりやすいものである．だから，できるだけ平易な日本語に心がけた．どうしても，ちょっと口語的すぎたり，あるいは現代的すぎたりするのは，翻訳者のぼくが未熟であるからかもしれない．最後にウィキペディアによる解説をつけておく．
